đź’˘ Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said recent regional developments have shown that Muslim countries cannot rely on foreign powers for lasting security.
“Security built on the presence and intervention of extra-regional powers is fragile and dependent,” he said.
Qalibaf pointed to emerging regional pacts and arrangements as signs of a shift toward Muslim neighbors relying on their own capabilities and cooperation rather than foreign powers. He said recent developments had shown that Muslim unity could make “the enemy taste defeat,” expressing hope for a new era of Islamic unity, independence, security and dignity.
