💢 New photos obtained by CBS show extensive damage from Iranian missile and drone strikes at US positions in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, including a wrecked E-3 Sentry at Prince Sultan Air Base and destroyed buildings and vehicles at Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan. The undated images were provided by active US service members. A new Pentagon inspector general report puts equipment losses at up to $3.7 billion, including nearly 60 aircraft.

The images add fresh evidence to an April NBC report that Iranian strikes caused far more damage to US bases across the Middle East than publicly acknowledged, with repairs expected to cost billions of dollars.

Another pressure point lies beneath the Strait of Hormuz. BILD, citing Iran's Tasnim agency, reported that at least seven major undersea telecom cables cross the strait. Tasnim highlighted their vulnerability, warning that simultaneous damage to several cables could cause severe internet outages across Gulf states heavily dependent on the infrastructure.
