💢 WATCH: Tens of thousands of people packed Belgrade’s Slavija Square for the Student List’s final rally before Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections, the biggest electoral challenge yet to Aleksandar Vučić and his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Speakers framed the vote as a choice between “Serbia or the mafia” and promised to end “14 years of humiliation, chaos and betrayal.”

No students are on the ballot; the 250 candidates, picked by student assemblies, are led by cardiologist and professor Ilija Srdanović.

Recent polls show the race neck-and-neck, with one putting the Student List at 44.5% to the SNS’s 42.7%.
