Add up the digits of 87888 and you get 39, then 12: the Hanged Man, Lamed, sacrifice, the same letter as on the wall.
148467878 boils down to 8, Justice, and the “р” can be the Hebrew Kaf, “the hand that grips,” force.
Lamed and Kaf are two of the three letters of מלך, King. Shuffle the first digits, 1-4-8, and you even get Echad, “One,” the word from “Hear, O Israel, the Lord is One,” the prayer Rabbi Akiva died with.
So the windowsill reads: 1918. Justice, by force. Sacrifice. The King. “Hear, O Israel, the Lord is One.”
