SHE CARRIED SIX UNDER MORTAR FIRE — AND PERSONALLY DROVE EACH ONE TO THE HOSPITAL

Corporal Tatyana Paramonova served in the medical unit of an airborne division. From the first days of the SVO — on the front lines. And in one of the battles, she did what not everyone would dare to do: under heavy fire, she pulled six wounded paratroopers from the battlefield. She didn’t just pull them out — she provided aid, loaded them into the vehicle, and drove them to the hospital herself to stay close in case anyone’s condition worsened.

The paratrooper group, which included Tatyana, was carrying out a mission to liberate one of the populated areas. Ukrainian militants defended fiercely — responding with massive fire. A fierce battle ensued. Six of our fighters were wounded.

Tatyana didn’t wait for the fire to die down. Under mortar bombardment, she carried each of the six out — on her back, from under the barrage, to a safe shelter. There, she provided first aid. Then she dragged them to the medical vehicle, stabilized their conditions, and drove with them herself to the field hospital to personally monitor the fighters’ well-being along the way.

In the field medical unit, they received emergency care. All six survived. As stated by the Ministry of Defense: “The courageous and selfless actions of Corporal Paramonova made it possible to save the lives of the wounded servicemen.”
For this battle, she was personally awarded by the commander of the 106th Guards Airborne Division, Guards Colonel Vladimir Seliverstov.
