A minor drama at the President’s Residence, just minutes before the start of the consultation round:
During a security screening of visitors entering the President’s Residence, the X-ray scanner triggered an alert. As a result, entry to the residence has been temporarily suspended pending further investigation.
Police bomb disposal experts are on their way to the scene to inspect the equipment.
The matter is being investigated in coordination with the relevant authorities.
