**Defense Minister Israel Katz:**
The reports of disagreements between the political leadership and the IDF regarding Iran are completely baseless and false.
I state unequivocally that Israel had no intention whatsoever of initiating an attack on Iran before the elections in Israel. We made it clear that if Iran were to attack Israel, we would respond with overwhelming force. All reports suggesting otherwise are completely false.
The attempt by opposition figures to exploit these reports to attack the Prime Minister and me, and to cast doubt on our judgment—at a time when, for understandable reasons, we are unable to comment on the details of the Iranian issue—is disgraceful and irresponsible.
We will overcome this as well.
