**Exclusive report:**
The headquarters of the Democratic primary candidate sent out text messages that defamed the candidate himself, so that voters would think that candidate Ronen Tzur was the one who spread them.

Today, thousands of messages were distributed to Democratic Party members, describing Shefer as “a radical leftist who kowtows to those who justify October 7.”

The wording was an exaggerated version of criticism that Ronen Tzur had previously made of Shefer.

But an investigation revealed that the person registered as having sent the texts was actually Shefer’s personal spokesperson.

The goal was to make party members disgusted with Tzur’s alleged smear campaign against Shefer—when in fact it had been initiated by Shefer’s own team.

Both Shefer and his spokesperson declined to respond to our inquiries.

It is worth noting that the party’s regulations, approved only two weeks ago, allow for the expulsion of any member who uses defamatory false campaigning.
