Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar has filed a defamation lawsuit against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Bar submitted materials to the court that he says prove he delivered two “dramatic series” of warnings to Netanyahu, in April and July 2023:
“I waited silently for three years for the establishment of a commission of inquiry, all while facing an ongoing smear campaign. In light of the prime minister’s unrestrained outburst, I have decided not to remain silent.”
