This is Afik Nissim, former coordinator of the Israeli National Basketball Team.
After October 7th, I founded the nonprofit organization **“Winning Pass”**, which supports hundreds of IDF soldiers and veterans coping with physical and mental injuries from the war.
Today we run 10 groups across the country—from Afula to Rehovot—together with former and current national team players such as Yaniv Green, Dan Einbinder, Dagan Yavzuri, Itai Lev, and Tal Burstein, who all take an active part in this journey.
The essence of this place is rehabilitation. Rehabilitation through a team. Rehabilitation through a sense of belonging. Rehabilitation through basketball, soccer, and "Kadureshet" (for female veterans and spouses of injured soldiers).
There are people who came back from battle but still fight every day to truly return to life, and this place gives them structure, community, strength, and people who walk this path together with them. >
