IDF:
Following an initial investigation of the incident in which the commander of Battalion 52, Lt. Col. Dor Gedalya Ben Shimchon (z”l), and soldiers from Battalion 52’s command team — Staff Sgt. Noah Habshush (z”l), Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein (z”l), and Staff Sgt. Liav Kabavia (z”l) — fell in southern Lebanon on June 19, it appears that the tank was hit by an explosive drone. The incident is under investigation.
The families have been notified. The IDF shares in the families’ grief and will continue to support them.
