IDF Spokesperson:
Following the IDF strike in Beirut, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, is conducting ongoing situation assessments with all relevant commanders.
In accordance with these assessments, the IDF is preparing for the possibility of fire toward Israeli territory in the coming hours.
The IDF continues to maintain readiness and vigilance for a range of scenarios, both defensive and offensive.
The IDF emphasizes that, at this stage, the public should remain alert, act responsibly, and follow Home Front Command instructions.
At present, there are no changes to the Home Front Command guidelines. Should any changes occur, the public will be updated accordingly.
The IDF will not tolerate fire directed at Israeli territory.
