**Joint Statement by the Leaders of the Change and Reform Parties:**

**Party leaders are coordinating their efforts and will act immediately to replace the October 7 government with a National Emergency Government and to translate the clear parliamentary majority in the Knesset into action.**

The leaders of the Change and Reform parties met a short while ago in Herzliya for their first joint meeting, during which they coordinated their action plan ahead of the swearing-in of the 26th Knesset and the formation of Israel’s 38th government as soon as possible. The party leaders are united in their commitment to establishing a Zionist government based on the four principles outlined by Eisenkot, at the earliest possible opportunity.

During the meeting, the party leaders emphasized their full commitment to implementing the decision of Israel’s citizens, who voted clearly and decisively in favor of change and against the continuation of the current government — the October 7 government. The party leaders coordinated plans and measures to translate their parliamentary majority into action immediately, beginning in the very first days of the new Knesset.

The party leaders discussed the dangerous and unhinged delegitimization campaign being waged by Likud and Netanyahu against the election results and the Central Elections Committee. They expressed their unwavering commitment to defending the election results and the democratic process.

In accordance with the agreement reached among the party leaders, all participating parties will recommend to the President of Israel that **Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar! party, be given the first mandate to form a government**, with the aim of establishing a government as quickly as possible and preventing Israel from being dragged into another round of elections.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the parties’ negotiating teams would immediately begin working to formulate the new government’s guiding principles and coalition agreements ahead of the formation of Israel’s 38th government.

The party leaders agreed to maintain continuous and close coordination in the coming days until the new government is sworn in.
