Justice Solberg ruled that in 5 of 6 official events held by the Prime Minister’s Office in recent months—which were supposed to be free of election campaigning—Netanyahu used them for prohibited election propaganda.
As a result, he ordered Netanyahu to personally pay NIS 29,000 in legal costs.
Among the official events used for campaigning were a press conference concerning Iran, a situation assessment with the IDF’s senior leadership, a visit to southern Lebanon, and others.
