Last week, an absolutely remarkable column was published. Raviv Drucker demanded in *Haaretz* that the leaders of the Arab parties **not unite** into a joint list, because of the concern that such a move would harm the “change bloc’s” chances of reaching 61 seats.
Naively, I thought that Arab representation in the Knesset mattered to Drucker—until it turned out that it doesn’t. When you read this absurd and condescending article, you realize which political camp here treats Arabs as servants—not as in an “alliance of servants,” but literally: their desires are supposed to serve the superior “Tel Avivist” class. No wonder people in the Arab sector were furious with Drucker.
You can be furious, but there’s no need to be surprised. >
