We join the demand of the Lavi organization and call on Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara to cease her attempts to cover up and delay the investigation into the foreign interference in Israeli elections, to stop tying the hands of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), and to allow the investigation of Knesset members from the Arab parties and their parliamentary aides.
According to published reports, Baharav-Miara is unlawfully extending the parliamentary immunity of Knesset members to include their parliamentary aides. Such an extreme distortion of Israeli law, aimed at obstructing an investigation involving such serious suspicions, is unacceptable.
Justice Solberg clearly stated that the suspicions of election financing and interference are serious. Knesset member Avigdor Lieberman revealed information about funding sources within the Palestinian Authority, yet there is still a blatant attempt to bury the investigation.
**This must not be allowed to happen.**
