Mansour Abbas has clearly prepared for these elections. All the strongholds of the Southern Islamic Movement have some of the highest voter turnout rates in the country.
This is so unusual on a global scale: the poorest segment of society is turning out to vote at such high rates (matched only by the ultra-Orthodox in Israel, whom they are actually surpassing as of now).
