**Ministry of Finance Spokesperson:**
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has just signed an order to reduce the excise tax on gasoline by 50 agorot (NIS 0.50) per liter for a period of 26 days (until the end of the month).
The order is intended to mitigate the price increase that would have occurred without government intervention.
Accordingly, starting at midnight tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday), the price of one liter of gasoline at self-service pumps will be **NIS 7.85**.
