Police Spokesperson:
Attempted stabbing attack at the entrance to the “Western Galilee” police station – the terrorist was neutralized.
Earlier this morning, at around 5:30 a.m., a terrorist arrived near the entrance post of the “Western Galilee” station, got out of his vehicle, and charged with a knife in his hand toward a Border Police officer standing there, attempting to stab him.
The officer quickly managed to overpower the terrorist, who was neutralized on the spot. The knife was seized.
The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of the village of Jadeidi-Makr, was arrested for questioning at the station. Upon completion of the investigation and in accordance with its findings, a decision will be made regarding a request to extend his detention in court.
