The National Fraud Investigation Unit (YAHAM) of Lahav 433 has completed the investigation concerning the Minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women, MK Mai Golan, as well as public employees close to her and other individuals involved, on suspicion of offenses related to integrity and public ethics.
After several months of covert investigation, and with the approval of the Attorney General, the unit launched an overt investigation in September 2025 on suspicion of committing a series of offenses including bribery, fraud and breach of trust, obtaining something fraudulently under aggravated circumstances, forgery with intent to obtain something, obstruction of justice, and interfering with a police officer in the performance of duty. Dozens of suspects and witnesses were questioned during the investigation.
The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office (Taxation and Economics Division).
After completion of all investigative actions, the transfer of the investigation file for review and decision by the State Attorney’s Office was approved by Lahav 433 Commander, Major General Meni Benjamin, and Head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, Major General Boaz Balt.
