“We are fighting terrorism on all fronts. In Judea and Samaria, along the seam line, the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the Israel Police thwart hundreds of attacks each year, though unfortunately not all of them. This morning a despicable terrorist set out, reached Kochav Yair, and unfortunately, before being eliminated, managed to murder an Israeli citizen and wound others. I first want to commend the emergency response teams who immediately acted against the terrorists. I also commend the Israel Police officers who eliminated the terrorist and caught his accomplice.
In the Gaza Strip, we are tightening our grip on Hamas from every direction; we currently control over 60 percent of the territory, and soon we will reach 70 percent. We are not allowing them to rearm or harm us, and we are also eliminating their senior commanders.
In Lebanon, our forces eliminated 350 terrorists just in the past week. They took control of the Beaufort Ridge, where they found a massive underground infrastructure. We are completing the eradication of the terror villages adjacent to our border. We are striking them very hard, and we know that Hezbollah is in retreat. We will not allow fire on our territory or our communities, and we will act accordingly.”
