**Shas Chairman Rabbi Aryeh Deri:**
**Thank God!**
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens from all sectors of society who chose the path of faith and voted for the Shas party.
I thank the esteemed members of the Council of Torah Sages, who devoted themselves wholeheartedly to ensuring Shas’s success in the elections, as well as all the rabbis from every community and background, the party’s representatives in the Knesset and local authorities, and the thousands of dedicated activists who gave their all for the success of the movement founded by Maran [Rabbi Ovadia Yosef], in the face of an unprecedented campaign of venom and hostility.
The exit polls show significant discrepancies, so we will have to wait for the official results. Based on the data available to us, Shas is expected to achieve a very strong result, reflecting the tremendous work carried out on the ground.
Dear activists, you have worked hard, and your efforts will be rewarded. Go get some rest, and tomorrow morning we will wake up to the official election results.”
