The Attorney General convened a discussion on the issue of enforcement actions against yeshiva students who do not enlist, and stated: “An agreement has been reached between the IDF and the police to carry out significant proactive actions against draft evaders, including arrests, in the near future.”
In addition, within about two weeks, an interface will be established that will allow all government ministries to know whether a person seeking their services is obligated to enlist in the IDF. Likewise, the period of time between the sending of the first draft notice and the declaration of an individual as a “draft evader” has been shortened.
