“The Legal Counsel to the Government examined former President Grunis’s determination regarding the appointment and the evidence in the case in a professional manner, and formulated a position that reflects its professional truth based on the factual foundation.

Our position was rejected by the court, and needless to say, we respect the court’s ruling.

The Legal Counsel to the Government and the Attorney General personally will assist Major General Gofman as needed and to the fullest extent possible in carrying out his important role as head of the Mossad.

The Attorney General and the entire Legal Counsel to the Government wish Major General Gofman great success in his position.”
