The Houthi achievement: A large, strategic area along the Red Sea coast has fallen into their hands
The attached map shows an area of 2,600 square kilometers that, according to those who published the map, the Houthis captured over the past 24 hours.
That is about seven times the size of the Gaza Strip.
The map is admittedly “overly generous” to the Houthis, but it is quite possible that within the next 24 hours they will complete their takeover of the area shown in blue on the map.
All eyes are on “Bab al-Mandab.”
Map legend:
Blue – newly captured by the Houthis.
Green – territory controlled by the Houthis.
Red – territory controlled by Saudi loyalists.
