The State Comptroller’s Office responds to the Supreme Court ruling:

“Over the past year, the State Comptroller has published more than 40 reports that exposed fundamental gaps in the preparedness of the political, military, and civilian systems (tomorrow, four additional serious reports will be published). In these audits, the Comptroller also identified those responsible for the failures at all levels.

With regard to the eight audits whose work has not yet been completed, the Supreme Court issued its decision today.

The State Comptroller’s Office will complete four audits (including the report on the licensing and security of the Re’im party and the protection of southern cities) in accordance with the ruling and will publish them to the public.

Regarding the remaining four audits, the State Comptroller’s Office will halt its activities. Regrettably, three years after the disaster, the citizens of the country have still not received answers to the difficult questions that continue to linger regarding these four audits.”
