The United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to resolve the issue of accumulated enriched material through a mutually agreed mechanism in accordance with the timetable mentioned in Section 7, with the minimum method being dilution of the material on site under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Both parties have also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other related matters concerning the nuclear needs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on a mutually agreed framework to be determined in the final agreement. The final agreement shall confirm the provisions of this section. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran recognize the critical importance of the aforementioned nuclear issues and express their intention to discuss them immediately within the negotiations, with the goal of reaching mutual agreement.
