Thirteen additional Hesder yeshivot have announced a refusal to join the Armored Corps “following the integration of women in the corps.”
This brings the total number to 25 yeshivot.
The yeshiva heads who have now signed the letter of refusal are: Rabbi Michael Aharonov (Ma’ale Ephraim Yeshiva), Rabbi David Amitai (Avinoam Yeshiva), Rabbi Shlomo Binyamin (Levalada’at Yeshiva), Rabbi Eran Tamir (Orot Ashkelon Yeshiva), Rabbi Elisha Yinon (Afula Yeshiva), Rabbi Eyal Yakubovitz (Tzfat Yeshiva), Rabbi Eliyahu Mali (Jaffa), Rabbi Aviyahu Fishfeder (Ashkelon Yeshiva), Rabbi Shlomo Shushan (Beit She’an Yeshiva), Rabbi Yehoshua Schmidt (Nachalat Yosef Yeshiva), Rabbi David Turgeman (Dimona Yeshiva), and two additional yeshiva heads who requested that their names not be mentioned.
