Wishing you a Happy New Year. It is important to me that you please read this entire message.
My name is Israel, father of Captain Neriya Zisk, of blessed memory.
The High Holidays have not felt the same without our Neriya. Amid the immense longing, I have had just one wish accompanying me every day since Neriya was killed: to live to see a synagogue built in his memory—a place that will carry on the light and goodness he left behind, in a way that so deeply reflected who he was.
For more than six months now, our family and friends have been raising funds, shekel by shekel, to make this memorial a reality. We have come a long way, but to reach our goal, we now need the people of Israel to stand with us.
Neriya gave his life in the war for all of us. And now I am reaching out to you as a father, asking you from the bottom of my heart: Please help me see the synagogue in memory of my son become a reality rather than remain a dream.
Neriya’s memorial is now in your hands. >
