As I prayed this morning, a deep sadness filled my heart - not for Israel, which will surely endure and prevail, but for many conservatives of faith in America. It was sobering to watch Ambassador Huckabee respond to his own president’s claim that without him, Israel would not exist. The ambassador rightly pointed to Israel’s ancient existence and biblical history as foundational to America’s own.
Equally telling is the near absence of Secretary Rubio and Secretary Hegseth from the airwaves, while Vice President Vance seems to be everywhere. To people of faith, the message from this administration is becoming clear: Qatari money carries more weight than biblical values.

But God…

“Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls -
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.”

(Habakkuk 3:17-19)


We are not people who live by circumstances. We are people who stand on the faithfulness of God. We know His Word, we trust His promises, and we rest in His sovereign plans.
This is His declared purpose for Israel - and for all who are grafted in by faith:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

(Jeremiah 29:11)
