Good morning from Kansas City, Missouri.
I am on my way to speak at The Israel Decree Conference.
Today marks the first day of the Jewish civil year. The interesting part is that although the Jewish people call it the New Year, biblically, it is not. God’s calendar with Israel begins with Passover and the Exodus from Egypt.
The Feast of Trumpets points prophetically to the day when the trumpets will announce the return of the Messiah to earth to establish His kingdom. But you cannot look upon Him whom you pierced without first acknowledging why He was pierced and your need for repentance in order to live and reign with Him.
The Israel Decree was given to Abraham as an unconditional covenant between God and him, his descendants, and the nation that would come from his loins - the nation through which the Lord would bless the whole world.
Today, I am grateful to be part of that nation and also to know the fulfillment of the true beginning of the biblical year - Passover. Yeshua is the Lamb whose blood causes God’s judgment to pass over us.
It is fine to celebrate Trumpets, but only if you have first celebrated Passover!
In other words, do not merely wait for His second coming. First, believe in the sacrifice that was offered for our sins. Believe in the power of His blood not merely to cover sins, but to take them away.
Above all, keep the biblical feasts in their chronological order. Yeshua lived a sinless life - Unleavened Bread. He died - Passover. He rose from the dead - Firstfruits. He sent the Holy Spirit - Pentecost - to comfort us and seal us as the guarantee of our promised inheritance.
Awaiting His Soon Return - Amir
