IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration in the areas of Metula and Misgav Am, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory.

As Hezbollah continues to fire rockets and drones toward northern Israel, we are reminded of a bitter truth: no amount of negotiations or agreements with terrorists can ever produce lasting peace in this fallen world.

The ideology of a diabolical movement cannot be appeased by a signed document. History has proven that time and again. You could ask Chamberlain and Wilson, and perhaps soon President Trump and his team as well.

Hezbollah is not Lebanon. It is the long arm of the ayatollah regime.

Psalm 83 makes it clear that those who seek to erase Israel are, first and foremost, the enemies of God. Their hatred of Israel is the manifestation of a far deeper hostility toward Him and His purposes. Their desire is “that the name of Israel may be remembered no more” because Israel stands as a testimony to the faithfulness of the God they reject.

There is no territorial dispute between Israel and Lebanon. There is no territorial dispute between Israel and Iran, Israel and Turkey, or even Israel and Russia. Yet these nations will unite against Israel because of ideology, greed, and above all, their enmity toward God.

Much of that hatred exists not because they truly know Him, but because they see His hand at work through His people. The survival of the Jewish people and the rebirth of the nation of Israel in its ancestral homeland have always been - and will always remain - a devastating blow to every ideology that denies the faithfulness of God.

That is why we must never take off our spiritual glasses when we watch world events unfold.

Every attempt to tie Israel’s hands behind its back is ultimately destined to fail, because the Keeper of Israel is always at work.

“He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
(Psalm 121:4)
