Just watched two Popular Christian pastors and podcasters are suggesting that Yeshua is about to return to earth and establish His Millennial Kingdom. But that skips over events Scripture tells us to take seriously:

▪️ The war of Gog described in Ezekiel
▪️ The rapture of the church
▪️ The seven-year Tribulation

I believe Ezekiel’s war lies ahead, though Scripture does not give us its exact timing in relation to the rapture. And I believe the church will be taken before the Tribulation, because we are not appointed to God’s wrath.

Before this world sees the Lord return to earth, it will pass through a time of great tribulation unlike any before it. If I had to warn the world about what lies ahead, I would warn it of coming judgment.

And I would urge everyone who calls themselves part of the church to be ready.

Jews and Gentiles alike must place their faith in Messiah Yeshua. No one is made ready for His coming by a religious label. In the parable of the ten virgins, some were ready when the bridegroom came, while others found the door shut. We must take that warning seriously.

I believe many Jews and Gentiles will come to faith during the Tribulation. Revelation describes a great multitude who come out of that time. In my understanding of Scripture, they are distinct from the church that was caught up to be with the Lord.

Believers will stand before the judgment seat of Messiah, where our works will be evaluated and rewarded. And if you are focused on the Millennial Kingdom – the time when believers will reign with Him – consider what Yeshua taught about faithfulness and responsibility. How we live for Him today matters.

We live for Him today. We need not fear the first death, and the second death has no power over those who belong to Him. We are not appointed to His wrath.

We look forward to being with Him, to the marriage of the Lamb, to His return in glory, and to reigning with Him.

The psalmist asks, “What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me?” (Psalm 116:12, NKJV). His answer begins with receiving God’s salvation and calling upon His name. Even what we offer Him comes from what He has first given us.

One day, we will receive crowns and rewards from Messiah. What will we have to place at His feet? Those very crowns. Revelation shows the twenty-four elders casting their crowns before His throne. Following their example, we will give back to Him what we received from Him – because all the glory belongs to Him.

After the thousand-year reign comes the final judgment. Then God will make all things new. In the New Jerusalem, there will be no temple, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city will have no need of the sun or moon to shine in it, for the glory of God will illuminate it. He will dwell with His people forever.

But those whose names are not found in the Book of Life will face the lake of fire.

Be ready. Live faithfully. And warn others while there is still time.
