Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today in his office with the President's special envoy, Jared Kushner, Ambassador Huckabee, Tony Blair, and members of the Board of Peace.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached that no reconstruction work would be carried out in the Gaza Strip until Hamas is completely disarmed throughout the territory.

It was also agreed that the first step towards disarming the Strip is for Hamas to hand over its weapons for destruction under the supervision of an American general.

Prime Minister Netanyahu clarified that the IDF will not withdraw from the security barrier, will remain in its current deployment, and will continue to thwart any threat to our forces or to Israeli citizens. There will be no change in the policy of preventative measures. The Prime Minister emphasized the principles of maintaining the IDF's freedom of operation and continuing the policy of preventative measures. There will be no reconstruction before the Strip is disarmed and Hamas is stripped of its weapons.
