Yemen's Houthis seized Perim (Mayyun) Island and completed control of the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
According to reports, the Houthi rebel organization, backed by Iran, has completed its takeover of the island of Mayun (Perim), located in the heart of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
If the reports are accurate, this move gives the organization direct physical control over one of the world's most sensitive and important shipping and energy routes.
