⚫️ While DeFi on TON is going through a rough patch, Telegram Gifts remain one of the few markets in the ecosystem that still feels genuinely active. Interest picked up again in October after upgrades launched for Resistance Dog, but so far, nobody has really managed to bring that activity into TON DeFi.

⚫️ There have been attempts before. Some projects tried tokenizing Gifts into tradable tokens, but the idea never really took off and was quickly forgotten. Now Mikey, the creator of GroypFi and TopBlast, is trying a different approach with Gerps — a platform for trading perpetual futures on Telegram Gifts.

⚫️ The mechanics are pretty standard: if you think Plush Pepe will go up, you open a long; if you expect it to drop, you open a short. Positions are settled in GRAM, while the contracts track the floor prices of the underlying Gifts across major marketplaces. Five collections are currently available: Plush Pepe, Scared Cats, Resistance Dogs, Durov's Caps, and Kissed Frog. Maximum leverage is 5x.

⚫️ Liquidity is still thin, so each position is capped at 5 GRAM. Mikey himself recommends starting even smaller — around 2–3 GRAM per trade. Let’s see whether this format catches on and whether it can help onboard the Telegram Gifts crowd into TON DeFi.
