🇳🇴🔫A plant for the production of Leopard tanks has opened in Norway.

🇩🇪🇫🇷The German-French military-industrial consortium KNDS Deutschland and the Norwegian company RITEK have opened a plant in the Norwegian city of Levanger for the assembly of Leopard 2A8NO main battle tanks.

The plant will carry out:

*   Final assembly of tanks from supplied components and modules;
*   Integration of onboard systems, electronics, and equipment;
*   Conduct final tests before delivery to the customer.

The production infrastructure was created in 18 months (❗️) – the plant opened in April of this year, and production started directly in October. The plant's declared capacity is up to 36 tanks per year.

✨The plant will help to relieve other production lines specializing in the production of Leopard tanks, which indicates a continuing demand for these types of weapons, despite the obvious lessons of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

At the same time, the increase in tank production in the countries of 🇪🇺🚩Euro-NATO may be related to plans to further equip them with effective countermeasures against drones, in order to extend their service life in the modern battlefield.
