🔥🚂🇳🇱A series of sabotage acts have occurred on the railway in the Netherlands

On the morning of September 15th, unknown individuals attached pipes and cables to the railway tracks in several regions of the Netherlands. The railway operator, ProRail, announced that foreign objects were found in approximately 35 locations.

Due to the interference, the safety systems reacted as if the tracks were occupied, changing signals to red and restricting train traffic. At several level crossings, the barriers remained closed, causing difficulties for road traffic as well.

The main disruptions affected the central and eastern parts of the country, particularly the railway lines around Amersfoort, Zwolle, and Deventer.

The scale of the disruptions was so large that the NS transport company was unable to organize replacement bus services for the cancelled trains.

The police are investigating. The intelligence and security service, AIVD, has also been involved in clarifying the circumstances. Currently, farmers or extremists are suspected.

✨As is often the case in Europe during these "sabotage" operations – no one was injured and no significant damage was caused, which once again indicates the fabricated nature of these actions. It is not excluded that in the near future, the Dutch authorities will announce the urgent need to increase spending on military needs, as well as to expand the powers of the military and security services in connection with the "Russian threat."
