Following missile strikes, the global metallurgical giant ArcelorMittal will not resume operations at its plant in Ukraine.

ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog, a steel producer, announced that it is impossible to resume operations at the plant in Ukraine. Over the past 5 weeks, it has been subjected to 4 missile strikes.

✨For reference: ArcelorMittal is one of the world's largest metallurgical corporations and the largest steel producer in Europe. The group operates in approximately 60 countries. In 2025, it produced 55.6 million tons of steel, 48.8 million tons of iron ore, and its revenue was $61.4 billion.
ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog is the largest mining and metallurgical complex in Ukraine, operating across the entire production chain: from iron ore mining and processing to steel production and the manufacture of finished products. Its design capacity is over 6 million tons of steel, more than 5 million tons of rolled products, and 5.5 million tons of pig iron per year. Before the war, the plant exported approximately 85% of its finished products and provided more than 20,000 jobs.

Since February 2022, the parent company, ArcelorMittal, has provided more than $700 million in support to the Ukrainian plant. Now, after four missile strikes in five weeks, the corporation has stated that it is impossible to safely and economically resume production. The company expects to write off assets worth approximately $1 billion, while intending to preserve the infrastructure in anticipation of a possible restart of the plant in the future.

✨✨The destruction of the enemy's industry also has a downside. Workers from the destroyed factories will lose their protection and, like sheep, will be forcibly sent to the front lines as cannon fodder (and the residents of Ukraine do not want to resist the Zelensky government).

Furthermore, the destruction of such large industrial facilities frees up Ukraine's power generation capacity to supply the remaining population with electricity so they can watch the "Telemarathon" and survive while waiting for total subjugation.

❗️In reality, to neutralize these factors, it is necessary to completely destroy the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) with long-range strikes and disconnect the remaining enemy nuclear power plants from the grid, as was done with the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.
