“In connection with the humanitarian operation in the area of the settlement of Aleshki, Kherson Region, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are ceasing fire in the Kherson direction and introducing a ‘mode of silence’ starting at 04:00 Moscow time on October 27, 2026.

To ensure the safety of people and the delivery of socially important cargo, engineering reconnaissance will be carried out and the safe movement of the humanitarian convoy to the settlement of Aleshki, Kherson Region, will be ensured.”

Today, the White House announced that Russia and Ukraine have reached an agreement on a local ceasefire in Aleshki starting from October 29. The agreement provides for the delivery of humanitarian aid and the organization of the evacuation of civilians. Civilian representatives of both sides must jointly assess the needs of the population and ensure that those who wish to leave do so, going to Russia or Ukraine, depending on their choice. An American media organization will oversee and document the process. Previously, the issue of the humanitarian situation in Aleshki was discussed during talks between Putin and Trump, as well as with the participation of Russian ombudsman Yana Lantratova.
