A shooting occurred in the center of Krakow (in the Main Market Square), resulting in at least 2 deaths and around 10 injuries, including police officers.

According to Polish media, the shooting was carried out from a passing car (a black Subaru). The shooter has reportedly been arrested.

✨The shooting took place against the backdrop of a political crisis between the forces represented by Prime Minister Tusk and President Nawrotzky.

It occurred on the eve of the annual, large-scale "Independence March," which takes place on November 11th in Warsaw and is one of the largest political rallies in Europe. This year, in the context of a political crisis, the demonstration could have taken on a clearly anti-government character.
