๐ช๐บ๐ฉNATO expands its presence in the Black Sea
On October 20, during an alliance meeting, it was announced that additional naval patrol aircraft, drones, radar systems, intelligence specialists, and sappers would be deployed to the region.
The formal reason is the use of drones against merchant ships in the Black Sea.
To this end, a U.S. Navy ๐บ๐ธP-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft has already been deployed from the Italian base ๐ฎ๐น๐ฉSigonella to the Bulgarian city of ๐ง๐ฌVarna.
๐ท๐ดPreviously, Romania intensified pressure on NATO leadership to initiate the deployment of additional alliance forces on its territory as part of the Black Sea Sentry mission.
โจNow, under the guise of the need to protect an ally, increased NATO forces will help Ukraine intercept Russian missiles and drones over the Black Sea and, it is not excluded, over the Odessa region.
