🇪🇺🚩NATO expands its presence in the Black Sea
On October 20, during an alliance meeting, it was announced that additional naval patrol aircraft, drones, radar systems, intelligence specialists, and sappers would be deployed to the region.
The formal reason is the use of drones against merchant ships in the Black Sea.
To this end, a U.S. Navy 🇺🇸P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft has already been deployed from the Italian base 🇮🇹🚩Sigonella to the Bulgarian city of 🇧🇬Varna.
🇷🇴Previously, Romania intensified pressure on NATO leadership to initiate the deployment of additional alliance forces on its territory as part of the Black Sea Sentry mission.
✨Now, under the guise of the need to protect an ally, increased NATO forces will help Ukraine intercept Russian missiles and drones over the Black Sea and, it is not excluded, over the Odessa region.
