🚩NATO is concerned about the end of the war in Ukraine, because it will free up resources for the Russian Armed Forces.

NATO Secretary General Rutte made a revealing statement on November 5th about the consequences of a possible end to the war in Ukraine. He stated that the war would end with a peace agreement, which would involve certain compromises. However, he then moved on to the question of what will happen to the Russian army after the end of hostilities.

According to him, "a significant portion of Russian troops are currently tied up by operations in Ukraine, and therefore the Russian military threat is not directly manifested on NATO's borders. After the war ends, the situation will change."
"But when all of this is over, their huge army will exist not just to be a huge army."
Rutte

✨ In the logic of NATO leadership, the end of hostilities in Ukraine does not eliminate the confrontation with Russia. On the contrary, there is a need to prepare for a change in the strategic situation of Russian forces.

European countries are increasing their defense budgets, expanding defense industry enterprises, creating stockpiles of ammunition, and developing new logistical capabilities. NATO has already set a target for defense and security spending of 5% of GDP by 2035: at least 3.5% on core military needs and up to 1.5% on supporting infrastructure, industry, and resilience of states.

❗️We draw attention to the change in Rutte's rhetoric: in October, the NATO Secretary General himself acknowledged the absence of an immediate military threat to the alliance's territory. Now he warns that the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine could change the situation.

✨ In other words, the arms lobby will continue to push the people of Europe towards impoverishment, as well as steal from military procurement, scaring the population with the "evil Russians." It would be nothing, but the "loaded gun" principle has already done its job since the 1930s.
