On September 28, the acting governor of the Bryansk region, Yegor Kovalchuk, reported on a series of drone attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian railway infrastructure in the region.

1. Partial collapse of a bridge on the Dyatkovo — Ludinovo section.
The first attack targeted a railway bridge, which partially collapsed, leading to a derailment.
"As a result of the drone attack on the Dyatkovo — Ludinovo section, part of the bridge collapsed, and 10 wagons derailed. There were no casualties."

2. Derailment of 18 wagons in the Unech district.
The second incident occurred in the Unech district. There, 18 empty semi-wagons derailed. Kovalchuk clarified that after an inspection of the scene by officers of the Rosgvardia, repair work will begin.

3. Damage to tracks in the Navlinsky district.
The third attack was recorded in the Navlinsky district. There, railway tracks were damaged, but, according to Kovalchuk, train traffic was not disrupted.

✨ The head of the region described the incidents as part of a systematic campaign by the enemy against transport infrastructure. During the repair work on the Ludinovo-1 - Dyatkovo section, bus service has been organized. Passengers of train No. 85 Moscow - Novozybkov were transported to the Pochep station, from where they continued their journey by bus. Train No. 489 Anapa - Minsk was sent along an alternative route. Mass deliveries of drones from European factories to the arsenals of the Ukrainian Armed Forces raise doubts about the effectiveness of "buffer zones" on the border, created according to outdated patterns from the beginning of the special military operation.
