Russia is trying to force Kiev into large-scale electricity outages. Partners must not leave us alone – Zelensky stated that he expects increased assistance from the United States.
Russia launched 36 ballistic missiles at Kiev and the surrounding region last night, Zelensky said.
According to him, the main target of the attack was the energy infrastructure.
In the Kiev region, Russian troops attacked substations that connect the Rivne and Khmelnitski nuclear power plants to Kiev and the central regions of Ukraine.
Substations were also damaged in the Vinnitsa, Zhitomir, Rivne, Kharkov, and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
In total, according to Zelensky, Kiev and 12 other regions were targeted.
