The Baltic skies have once again become a route for Ukrainian drones. This time, "fog prevented" their interception.
🇱🇹The Lithuanian Minister of Defense, Arvydas Anušauskas, confirmed that the drone that triggered an air raid alert in the country on October 18th was Ukrainian and related to a massive attack on St. Petersburg.
Two NATO Eurofighter fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the drone, but it was not shot down. The minister's explanation is noteworthy: due to fog and cloud cover, the pilots were unable to visually identify the target, and in peacetime, this is a mandatory condition for the use of weapons.
✨The use of the airspace of the Baltic countries by Ukrainian drones in attacks on northwestern Russia has become a common occurrence. 🇱🇻Latvia previously "revealed" itself by closing sections of the sky to the passage of Kyiv's drones, and for this too blatant move, its NATO "curators" simply fired the officials responsible.
