The shooter in Krakow turned out to be 24-year-old machinist Mikhail Oksinski from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in southern Poland. He was wearing military uniform, driving a car registered to his father, and legally owned the weapon.
Before driving to the square, he killed his family: his sister and parents, whose bodies were found in his home. Everything indicates that he was influenced by far-right ideology," said the head of the Polish police.
A Russian citizen was injured in the shooting in Krakow, according to the Russian Embassy in Poland.
The police also reported that among the six victims of the "Krakow shooter" was a foreigner – a citizen of the United Kingdom.
Six people died in the square – 4 women and 2 men, including the British citizen. Sixteen people were injured, including two police officers, one of whom is in critical condition.
