🇺🇸🦈The U.S. Army tested long-range drone strikes from helicopters.
During the Project Convergence Capstone 6 exercises, ALTIUS-700 drones from Anduril Industries were launched from H-60M Black Hawk helicopters of the U.S. Army.
A group of ALTIUS-700 drones autonomously searched for a target, transmitted data to each other, and launched an attack. The combination of autonomy and network interaction provides helicopters with a greater range (460 km❗️) and survivability in the modern battlefield, where it is important to operate far from the range of air defense systems and drones (at least 50 km).
✨In fact, helicopters in the U.S. Army have become aerial platforms for launching and controlling long-range reconnaissance and attack drones, as well as means of countering enemy drones.
✨⭐️It's unfortunate that such innovations are being implemented by our enemies across the ocean, rather than by domestic manufacturers, who apparently are content with the practical uselessness of expensive attack helicopters in the modern battlefield.
