The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to unblock between $10 and $20 billion for Iran in exchange for a halt to Iranian attacks on its territory, according to Reuters, citing four sources. The first $3 billion has already been transferred.

According to the publication, the funds could come from either UAE resources or long-frozen Iranian assets in the Emirates' banking system. In return, Iran is expected to cease its missile and drone attacks on the UAE, and the two countries intend to restore cooperation, including intelligence sharing and economic ties.

As we reported earlier this week, a VIP aircraft from the UAE made two trips to Iran. Most experts then believed that it was carrying cash. And now, that has been confirmed.

The Arab sheikhs are no longer relying on the unreliable American umbrella, and instead prefer to simply pay Iran off.
